Our Mission

We promote free and open access to science with the major aim to build successful conservation measures in which the local communities play a crucial role.

We bring scientific knowledge about páramos to the hearts and minds of our readers.

We talked about

Biodiversity

Evolution

Ecosystem services

Threats to the ecosystem

Solutions to environmental problems

We want to bring this book to the inhabitants of the páramo so that they can benefit from the scientific research that has been conducted in their region, with the goal of them taking ownership of their territory and making decisions that lead to an autonomous and sustainable way of life.

True open access to science

We are an international initiative that aims to make scientific knowledge accessible to everyone, prioritizing rural communities in low-income regions where natural resources abound but material and educational resources are scarce.

We are convinced that education and true open access to science are crucial to halt biodiversity loss and ensure its long-term conservation.
