We are an international non-profit initiative promoting open access to science in rural areas, where biodiversity richness usually contrasts with scarcity of material resources, including basic educational tools like books. We firmly believe that open access to education and science are crucial to halt biodiversity loss and guarantee its long-term conservation.
Full with wonderful illustrations, the science-based book La MINIENCICLOPEDIA DEL PÁRAMO seeks to engage a young audience in a journey to discover how and why we can protect the páramo, a unique and highly threatened Andean ecosystem of global importance.
Thanks to your donation and the support from our partners, we have reached more than 2000 children in the Colombian Andes, distributing La MINIENCICLOPEDIA DEL PÁRAMO completely free-of-charge and running educational campaigns.
